What You’ll Do
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will partner closely with the Director of Nursing to lead daily clinical operations and ensure excellence across all units. You will:
- Lead from the floor—round daily, coach staff, and elevate clinical performance
- Drive quality & compliance—ensure care delivery meets regulatory standards and best practices
- Strengthen infection prevention efforts—oversee surveillance and promote a safe environment
- Support admissions & transitions—ensure residents are appropriately placed and care teams are prepared
- Own clinical quality—audit documentation, plans of care, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Respond to real-time issues—review daily reports, investigate concerns, and ensure timely resolution
- Prepare for and lead through survey—guide teams with confidence and maintain readiness at all times
- Develop your team—mentor, coach, and build capability across nursing staff
- Step in as needed—serve as Director of Nursing in their absence
This Assistant Director of Nursing role is key to maintaining high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical leadership across the organization.
What You Bring
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (PA), in good standing
- 3–5+ years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a role such as Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or similar (long-term care preferred)
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, survey readiness, and quality improvement
- A leadership style that is visible, accountable, and team-oriented
