Admissions Specialist / Registered Nurse
Help patients take the next step toward recovery. MedStar National Rehabilitation Network is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled professional to join our team as an Admissions Specialist. In this dynamic role, you’ll connect patients, families, and healthcare providers with life-changing rehabilitation services while helping coordinate seamless inpatient admissions.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and assess patients for inpatient rehabilitation eligibility
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and referral sources
- Educate patients and families about rehabilitation services and care options
- Build strong relationships with hospitals and community partners
- Support care planning, insurance/pre-certification, and admissions coordination
- Serve as a trusted rehabilitation resource across the healthcare continuum
What We’re Looking For
- RN license required (background with relevant rehab experience preferred)
- 1–2 years of clinical experience required
- Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of rehabilitation services and healthcare systems preferred
- Reliable transportation for local travel to referring hospitals
