Rehab Without Walls is seeking an experienced and motivated Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact and a strong advocate for our patients and their families. In this critical role, you will help guide individuals through the admissions process with empathy, expertise, and a commitment to exceptional care.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a driven professional who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience verifying insurance benefits and negotiating with commercial payers and workers' compensation programs
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes and payer guidelines
  • The ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and clinical teams
  • A collaborative mindset and dedication to patient advocacy and positive outcomes
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for incoming referrals and admissions coordination
  • Verify insurance coverage and secure authorizations
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate seamless patient transitions
  • Advocate for patients by ensuring access to appropriate care and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and payers

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Minimum of Associate's degree in business or health care related field preferred.
  • Related admissions and medical insurance work experience will be considered in place of degree
  • Broad knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient data entry and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Able to function in position with minimal supervision
  • Effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
