Schedule: Part-Time | Saturdays & Sundays (6–8 hours per day)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Admissions Assistant to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. This weekend position plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming admission experience for new residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the admission process for new residents, including paperwork and documentation
  • Greet residents and families, providing excellent customer service and support
  • Coordinate with hospital discharge planners, case managers, and internal clinical teams
  • Verify insurance and collect required admission information
  • Maintain accurate resident records and ensure compliance with facility policies
  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding admissions and services
  • Support the Admissions/Marketing team with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare, admissions, or administrative roles preferred
  • Knowledge of skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
