ASPIRUS ST. LUKE''S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking an ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR to join our 8W REHAB PATIENT CARE team!
Salary Range: $34.70 - $50.32 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Occasional Weekend
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE
The Admissions Coordinator effectively promotes the program and services provided by the unit to a variety of audiences - internally and externally throughout the region - thus developing a solid referral base to St. Luke''s. Facilitates the pre-screening process to determine appropriateness for admission. Assists Rehab leadership in the maximization of access to rehab for appropriate patients. Assists PPS Coordinator in managing data base including gathering data as appropriate, monitoring quality and safety outcomes, and ensuring IRF-PAI accuracy and submissions. Assists with insurance authorization and denial management process. Coordinates student clinical education program for the Physical Rehab department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements.
Experience: Two (2) years working experience as Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech/Language Pathologist.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech/Language Pathologist. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or Military Training Network.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: N/A
Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in acute rehabilitation preferred. Understanding of medical terminology and experience in rehabilitation experience preferred. Marketing healthcare strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to be a liaison for support groups and/or to offer basic counseling skills a plus. Skills in verbal and written communication. Ability to perform detailed work accurately and on a timely basis. Ability to assign and supervise; to use a copy machine, telephone, intercom, calculator and computer, including Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel). Ability to manage time, organize and prioritize responsibilities.
READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10''s and 100''s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
