Examples of Duties
Under general direction, supervises environmental and engineering staff activities. Oversees and directs the performance of environmental and engineering studies, designs, inspections, and construction activities. Interfaces with various governmental agencies to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory requirements. Performs other job-related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business/Public Administration, or related field required.
Five years of full-time paid progressively responsible experience in an engineering environment with inspection project management required. (Substitution: Two years any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking.)

Highly Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) certification in an Electric or Civil Engineering discipline.
Two (2) or more years working in an engineering environment with project management and troubleshooting experience.
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including communicating complex technical topics to an audience of diverse non-technical backgrounds.
Experience with various Engineering and related applications including AutoCAD, GIS, Drafting, and drawing management systems.
Applied knowledge of high and medium voltage transmission and distribution systems, including interpreting circuit maps and electrical diagrams.
Preferred:
Master's Degree in Engineering or directly related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Applied knowledge with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of power management systems and power modeling software.
Experience in work order management systems such as Cityworks.
