The Administrator directs, plans, organizes and evaluates the activities for all clinical and business operations of the facility reporting directly to the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Governing Board of Directors and Vice President of Ambulatory Services. The Administrator is directly responsible for operational, regulatory, financial, credentialing, licensing, accreditation, and quality aspects of the center, including but not limited to: maintaining all regulatory and certifications, DEA and pharmacy licenses, CLIA, Radiology, DOH, Biomedical waste, and State of Florida license to operate. The administrator is the official reporting entity for AHCA, NHSN and CMS. The administrator oversees all risk management, complaints and grievances for the facility. The administrator has responsibility and oversight of all life safety, annual submission of CEMP plan, infection control, sterile processing, pharmacy, anesthesia, quality, process improvement, staffing, productivity, capital and operational budgets, business office, revenue cycle and billing practices for the facility. Works in collaboration with the strategic planning and finance departments to develop and set annual budgets. The administrator identifies opportunities for cost savings, negotiates contracts and manages facility resources to maintain budgetary goals. Oversight of day to day business operations and billing practicing with financial acumen by continuously evaluating case cost and reimbursement. The administrator works with physicians to develop and grow business, create proformas to evaluate profitability of new services and oversees service line onboarding and maintenance. Works collaboratively with all team members to ensure a high quality of care with excellent patient outcomes along with monitoring patient satisfaction with third party survey reporting. Acts as a department representative for internal and external customers. Demonstrates the ability to interview, hire, schedule, delegate and evaluate work performance of employees supervised. Education:

Bachelor''s Degree in Business or Nursing or Healthcare

Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years'' experience as an Administrator, or 5 years as Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager in a surgical setting.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of AHCA, DOH, CDC, APIC, CMS, NHSN, NFPA-99, AAMI and AAAHC regulatory requirements.
