What youll do on a typical day

The Administrative Support Specialist, High School Partnerships - Davie provides administrative and technical support for recruitment, enrollment, and retention of Career and College Promise (CCP )students. The position is part-time and reports to the Coordinator, High School Partnerships - Davie, and has the following responsibilities:

Receipts, evaluates for completeness, corrects, processes, and records student documents related to Career and College Promise (CCP) and Cooperative Innovative High School (CIHS) admissions

Requests and evaluates high school transcripts each semester

Manages Career and College Promise and Cooperative Innovative High School student records through program completion in accordance to Career and College Promise Operating Procedures

Assists with presentations for students and parents about Career and College Promise and other high school initiatives

Provides technical support, as needed, to assist students with completing enrollment steps, including setting up and accessing campus student portal and email accounts

Provides exceptional student-centered customer service, ensuring quality support to public, private and home school students and parents throughout the program life cycle

Generates outgoing correspondence to students and parents

Works collaboratively with staff and other campus departments to provide support in ensuring a smooth entry process for new and returning students

Prepares reports upon request of supervisor

Generates correspondence to internal faculty/staff and external partners

Maintains confidentiality of student records by following FERPA regulations, carefully monitoring student records for security, and properly storing all student records

Participates in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position

Performs other duties appropriate to the title and as assigned that support the mission of the College

Works under the direction of the Senior Director, Student Services - Davie Campus for the following duties:

Assists with promotion of the Ignite Davie College Promise program to students and parents

Assists students with application requirements for the Ignite Davie College Promise program

Assists with data collection and reporting for the Ignite Davie College Promise program

Provides general administrative support for Davie Student Services

Your attributes

Position Qualifications

Required:

An associates degree from a regionally accredited institution

Excellent data entry and other computer applications skills (ex. word processing,spreadsheets, email, presentations)

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred:

Experience with Colleague or other student management system

Work environment

ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment; ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus and College locations; travel between campus locations may be required; and effective use of all forms of communication including use of computers
