Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical courses in computers
Three to five years of secretarial experience.
Type accurately at 40 words per minute, pass Word and Excel testing (REQUIRED)
Job Goals:
Responsible for supporting the efficient and professional operation of the Deputy Superintendent's office. Provide general administrative assistance to the Deputy Superintendent by performing assigned department processes/projects, answering and screening phone calls, greeting the public, preparing written communication, receiving and responding to inquiries and requests, performing department financial responsibilities, creating reports, and/or maintaining office appearance and operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate and/or perform essential processes and/or projects related to assigned department functions.
Track and monitor processes such as Title IX, Bullying, Threat Assessment, and Safety and Security Responses.
Create and develop communications, including flyers, newsletters, bulletins, memos, etc., using technology effectively.
Respond to inquiries from parents, students, public, administration, and District staff. Direct individuals to others as needed.
Perform financial responsibilities, including maintaining the department budget, initiating purchase orders, checking-in orders, and/or maintaining office inventory.
Facilitate parent concerns from schools and communicate with Deputy Superintendent.
Communicate effectively across the District including, coordinating responsibilities, scheduling and planning meetings, for the Deputy Superintendent.
Gather, analyze, enter, and compile data for reports and/or communications.
Process internal and external mail.
Attend district level meetings that require meeting minutes, notes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
