Education and Experience: An associate/two year degree in safety, industrial engineering, sciences or other related field, and one year experience.
Overview
This position provides comprehensive administrative support for the Medical Impairment Rating Program, the Certified Physician Program, Utilization Review Appeals, The Medical Payment Committee, and Technical Support for the CMUR Portal.
Responsibilities
Manage MIR Program intake, including sending receipt confirmations, determining eligibility, creating case files, issuing 100-mile physician lists, and coordinating with the Program Coordinator on objections, physician selections, and strike list requests.
Assist with daily operations of the MIR and CPP Registries, including scheduling, obtaining physician licensing/disciplinary documentation, and releasing MIR reports.
Maintain the Utilization Review (UR) mailbox and process UR appeals by sending notifications, requesting and tracking medical records, organizing files, and preparing appeal decision letters within required timelines.
Keep electronic tracking systems current, including Microsoft Access spreadsheets, appeal trackers, contact logs, and other workflow documentation.
Complete indexing and global search processes for UR Appeal files, including adding required documents, validating searchability, closing trackers, and securely disposing of paper and digital files.
Research and route coverage, EDI, and compliance-related errors within established timelines, provide same-day customer communication, and follow up with internal departments as needed.
Support the Medical Payment Committee (MPC) by sending case notifications, organizing case materials, providing travel arrangements, preparing decision letters, drafting meeting minutes, and maintaining accurate committee records.
Assist with daily mail operations, to include outgoing mail, receiving, scanning and distributing incoming mail, and delivering checks to the accounting team.
