A 600+ bed acute care hospital in Plano, TX is seeking an Administrative Director of Women's and Children's Services. The facility includes a high-risk antepartum unit, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a Level I Trauma Center, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The role. Reporting through nursing leadership, this director oversees Labor and Delivery (21 beds), Postpartum/couplet care (34 beds), NICU (41 beds), Maternal Level 4, and NICU Level 4 designation teams, leading a total of approximately 175 FTEs across three managers. The director is accountable for service line quality, growth initiatives, and programmatic oversight of the designation teams to ensure adherence to all applicable standards — approximately 2,800 deliveries annually move through this service line. A significant focus of the role is leadership development for the three department managers, building and sustaining strong physician relationships, and integrating women's and children's services into the hospital's broader care delivery strategy. The director exercises independent judgment within interdisciplinary patient care settings, continuously assesses and improves departmental performance, and guides staff orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
