This Administrative Director of Women's and Children's Services opportunity is based in Plano, TX at a 600+ bed acute care hospital that holds Level I Trauma Center status, operates the first Comprehensive Stroke Center designated in Dallas, Collin, or Denton County, and offers a full women's and children's service line that includes a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level III NICU.

The role. The Administrative Director provides strategic and operational leadership across Labor and Delivery (21 beds), Postpartum/Couplet Care (34 beds), NICU (41 beds), and the Maternal Level 4 and NICU Level 4 designation teams, overseeing three managers and a combined workforce of approximately 175 FTEs supporting roughly 2,800 deliveries annually. Reporting into nursing leadership, this director is accountable for service line growth, quality outcomes, and programmatic initiatives that support the hospital's women's and children's designation standards. Day-to-day priorities center on developing frontline managers into stronger leaders, cultivating meaningful relationships with physicians and community partners, and ensuring all designation team activities comply with applicable standards. The director coordinates and integrates departmental services across the continuum of care, guides staffing decisions using AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio standards, and drives continuous performance improvement through data-driven quality control programs. This role also participates in business development, community outreach, and professional practice committees to advance both service line growth and nursing excellence.

What we're looking for.
  • BSN required
  • Master's degree in nursing, a related field, or another appropriate post-graduate degree required
  • Active Texas RN license required; compact license accepted
  • National Specialty Certification required
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 10 years of recent nursing experience in Women's Services, Labor and Delivery, NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, or a related area
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience

Schedule. Full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday with no weekend requirements.

Compensation. $118,016 - $177,024 per year plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
