    Administrative Coordinator- Same Day Care Pav at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Part TIme and will work 8-hour Day shifts.

    Provides comprehensive secretarial and clerical services to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Oversees the admitting clerk activities in the unit.

    Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served:

    • Provides courteous telephone response to all callers and ensures that calls are handles and routed appropriately and messages are accurately recorded.
    • Coordinates and schedules services in a timely manner
    • Inputs daily charges via computer and reviews daily log when received to assure accuracy
    • Collects and distributes mail appropriately. This involves daily rounds to the hospital and certain doctor''s offices
    • Verifies insurance coverage with insurance companies and assures that admitting clerk inputs information accurately
    • Acts as a receptionist for patients, patient families, physicians, hospital personnel, and visitors, responding to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
    • Inventories and orders appropriate department supplies and place them in proper area when they arrive
    • Types all correspondence, policies and procedures, education plans, job descriptions, and Plan for Provision of Care accurately and in proper format
    • Maintains office and office files in a systematic and organzied manner
    • Work is performed according to established procedures but some independent judgement is required in scheduling and flow of activities

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3 years of secretarial experience.
    • 1 year of medical insurance experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training: College/vocational education.
    • Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology training.
    • Hospital/doctor office experience.

    Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
