Administrative Coordinator to Chair of the Department of Marriage and Family Studies (MFS), which includes Child & Family Services (CFS), Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Aging Studies (AS), and the Marriage & Family Institute (MFI). Providing administrative assistance, recruiting, assisting students, managing the budget, and overseeing student workers.

A. Assistant to the Department Chair
Collect aggregate data for the following reports
COAMFTE Annual Report
COAMFTE Self Studies & other materials requested during renewal of accreditation
Outcome Assessment Report
Responsible for managing supervisor and compliance with COAMFTE requirements
Annual verification of maintenance of supervisor license
Annual verification of supervisor AAMFT supervisor status
Administrative Coordinator to the Department
CFS and MFT University visiting committees’ on-site visits
MFS and MFT Departmental faculty/staff pre-sessions
MFT Departmental faculty and supervisor meetings
COAMFTE on-site visit
MFT prospective student interviews
CFS prospective student meetings
MFT and CFS new student events
CFS Chapel
Provide back-up for the MFI clinic coordinator
Create and manage departmental calendars: Faculty/staff, Graduate interns
General office procedures
Order supplies for the department and the MFI clinic
Monitor and aid faculty in compliance with University deadlines related to textbooks and syllabi
Oversight of Graduate Students
Register all MFT students for classes
Process student clinical contact and supervision hours
Maintain present student’s graduate, clinical, and supervision files
Assist students with university procedures for graduation
Assist students/department alumnae with applications for professional licensure
Manage BudgetsDepartment of Marriage & Family Studies
Report to the chair the general overall budgets, institute revenue account, and department restricted accounts
Marriage & Family Institute
Report to the institute director the institute revenue account and itemized line-item budget related to the institute
Weekly deposits
Scholarships
Maintain scholarship records for current and incoming MFT ad CFS students
Compile CFS endowed scholarship applications for departmental review
Communicate scholarship information to student financial services, and to the dean’s office
Oversight of Department’s Student Workers
Develop job descriptions and hire student workers for each academic year
Oversee the work of student workers
Departmental Courses
Schedule and maintain courses taught within department
Manage departmental information within the university Banner system
Administrative Assistance for the Faulkner Center
Provide assistance with budgets and other office support as needed.
