Nucor Rebar Fabrication South Central is hiring an Administrative Coordinator in Jewett, Texas. This role provides operational and administrative support for production scheduling, shipping coordination, inventory support, and customer service functions within the branch. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to coordinate production and shipping activities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
    • High school diploma, GED, or state/local equivalent required
    • Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
    • Ability to coordinate production schedules and shipping activities efficiently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
    • Two-year degree from an accredited college or school preferred
    • Prior construction industry experience preferred
    • Commitment to workplace safety and company standards

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for branch operations, production scheduling, shipping, and inventory functions
    • Answer phones and assist with general office administration tasks
    • Coordinate production schedules with shop supervisors and detailers to improve efficiency and reduce costs
    • Print production and shipping tags and maintain Bills of Lading documentation
    • Arrange transportation with approved freight carriers and schedule deliveries
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and vendors
    • Prepare, organize, and maintain operational paperwork and records
    • Support branch operations with additional administrative and coordination duties as assigned
    • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards
