Pee Dee Regional Center is a public Immediate Care Facility (ICF) providing a full range of services to approximately 189 individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Pee Dee Regional Center is one of five public ICFs operated by the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). DDSN serves more than 29,000 South Carolinians with intellectual and related disabilities, autism, and spinal cord injuries and/ or head injuries.
This position functions as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD) for the Pee Dee and Saleeby Regional Center. Handles all unusual and emergency situations that occur while on duty. Assist with investigations into all abuse, neglect, and exploitation allegations (ANE) and reported critical incidents. Participates in the Disaster Preparedness Process, and as a member of this team, conducts annual disaster drills for Pee Dee and Saleeby Centers. Provides leadership and direct supervision of the AODs/Switchboard for Pee Dee Regional Center. Ensures AOD coverage of all shifts.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years [or Associate degree (or 2 years of college) and three (3) years] experience working in the disabilities field with at least (1) year of previous experience working directly with person with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Must have and maintain a valid SC Driver's License. Must have at least one (1) year experience as an AOD, or a supervisor.
Additional Comments:Position is considered "Essential" and incumbent is expected to be available during licensing/certification, critical weather, drills, etc.
Requires contact with all levels of the facility, the public, and those who resides at the Pee Dee and Saleeby Centers.
