Get Involved Samaritans Purse is seeking an Administrative & Communications Specialist to join our team in North Wilkesboro, NC. You can be a part of a highly professional North American Disaster Relief team. In this role, you will provide administrative and logistical support to the Volunteer Relations and Beneficiary Services Teams. You will create and manage content and engagement for the U.S. Disaster Relief Facebook account. You will support production of NADR apparel and print materials in coordination with Quality Assurance and Communications.
A Day in the Life of an Administrative & Communications Specialist At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do. In the role of Administrative & Communications Specialist, you will have the opportunity to maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
Supporting the Teams Support the Volunteer Relations and Beneficiary Services Teams with project-related administrative and logistical duties. Handle administrative details of the program, problem-solving both independently and cooperatively as issues arise, multi-tasking, and identifying priorities.
Content Creation and Social Media Management Develop content for the U.S. Disaster Relief Facebook account. Manage social media engagement through comments and messages from social media followers. Support the production of North American Disaster Relief apparel and print production requests through Quality Assurance and Communications. Work with the NADR leadership team to ensure that these items meet the needed objectives.
Reporting and Special Projects Develop, maintain, and distribute reports for the Director of Volunteer & Beneficiary Relations. Assist with special projects as requested. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements Associates degree, A.A. or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and one to two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong attention to detail, Excellent communicator, Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines, Ability to adapt quickly to change, Ability to learn new computer software skills, Proven interpersonal skills, Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies preferred, not required.
