**Job Description** **The University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest - Social Work and Care Coordination and Utilization Management Department** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Administrative Assistant?.** **WORK SCHEDULE** + Full-Time / 40 Hours Per Week + Day Shift **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical duties in support of the Social Work and Care Coordination and Utilization Management Departments. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Provide clerical support for Social Work and Care Coordination and Utilization Management Departments by answering phones, managing voicemail, and responding to questions from patients, families, and community. + Communicate new patient information to appropriate personnel. + Set up and maintain departmental files related to HR requirements, correspondence, reports, memos, etc. + Inventory departmental supplies and stocks as necessary. Prepare and submit requisitions, purchase orders, both routine and special orders. + Complete access requests and clerical tasks for onboarding new employees to the department. + Attend staff meetings, take and distribute minutes. + Open, as appropriate, and distribute incoming mail. **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** + High school diploma, college courses preferred. + A minimum of 3 years administrative/secretarial experience is required, preferably in a health care setting. + Writing/typing skills required, computer skills and training required, including word processing/spread sheet experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle a fluctuating workload. + Ability to work cooperatively with staff, physicians, patients, families and community. **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
