This position serves as a flexible administrative resource, providing backup coverage, coordinating daily operations, and supporting leaders, employees, and project teams with a variety of administrative functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and experienced in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to handle confidential information are required. Type: Contract Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Secretary II Location: Corning, NY Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred Key Responsibilities • Provide administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, onboarding support, and departmental activities. • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reports, purchasing activities, and office administration. • Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism. • Support meetings, events, presentations, reports, and special projects. • Prepare spreadsheets, presentations, and business documents using Microsoft Office Suite. • Maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites. • Assist with records management, audits, shipping/receiving coordination, and departmental processes. • Provide backup administrative support across teams as needed. • Work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications • 2-3 years of administrative experience in a corporate environment preferred. • Candidates without a degree must have 3+ years of relevant administrative experience. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Experience managing calendars, meetings, travel coordination, and expense reporting. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. • Ability to work with confidential information and exercise sound judgment. • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels. • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and support multiple teams. • Experience with Concur and PeopleSoft preferred.
