Job Description

Be at the center of keeping Public Works running smoothly. The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative, clerical, and customer service support while serving as a key connection between the public, staff, and contractors. This role is critical to daily operations and requires strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.

Salary: $20.03 - $22.12 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Essential Duties:

  • Assist customers in person, by phone, and electronically; direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents.
  • Coordinate meetings, including agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain departmental records and filing systems.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and routine paperwork.
  • Enter and maintain data in department systems.
  • Assist with communications, mailings, and public notices.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
