Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support emergency management planning, coordination, and operational activities. This role will assist with project coordination, plan development, research, and administrative support related to emergency preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resiliency initiatives.

  • Support emergency management projects through coordination, organization, and administrative support activities
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and revision of emergency management, hazard mitigation, resiliency, and operational plans
  • Coordinate and facilitate planning meetings and project activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain procedures, checklists, job aids, and operational documentation supporting preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities
  • Conduct research related to emergency management planning and operational initiatives
  • Track project assignments, timelines, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support day-to-day administrative and operational activities within the emergency management program
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and project documentation as needed
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Management required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to track, manage, and report on projects with minimal daily oversight

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in emergency management planning and operations
  • Experience supporting planning, coordination, or operational projects preferred
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills preferred
