Administrative Assistant

Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking a qualified administrative assistant. Job Summary:  The administrative assistant provides administrative support to company executives by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings for executives. Tasks will include general admin, accounting, purchasing and human resources.

Summary ofDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in recruiting, interviews and facilitate onboarding of new staff.
  • Assists in administration of benefits and training.
  • Maintains employee data and assists with training
  • Type reports, memos, letters and other documents using word relevant computer software.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  • Greet visitors and manages facility & staff.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management database systems.
  • Make travel arrangements for executives or employees.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Entering data into spreadsheets, faxing, filing, scanning.
  • Flexible and willing to participate in other aspects of the business.
  • Other activities as may be directed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Team Player
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to use the internet for research.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.

Credentials and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Human Resources experience desirable.
  • Must be a US citizen.
