Restaurant Administrative Assistant

Location: Kingston NY

Payrate:60,000.00 yearly

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Type: Perm

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to restaurant owner. This role helps ensure smooth restaurant operations by managing schedules, maintaining records, handling correspondence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee records, attendance logs, and personnel files.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other business documents.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with stock documentation.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries professionally.
  • Organize meetings, training sessions, and management calendars.
  • File and maintain restaurant licenses, permits, and compliance documents.
  • Assist with recruiting activities, onboarding, and employee paperwork.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Support restaurant managers with special projects and administrative tasks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous administrative, office, or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and restaurant management software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
