About Us

Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.

Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant I provide essential support to the Office of the President. The Administrative Assistant I handle a range of tasks, including greeting guests with professionalism, answering, screening, and directing complex inquiries to the appropriate professional or unit, and providing accurate information regarding campus locations and leadership. Additionally, they must manage high level communications, safeguard sensitive information and aid to the Senior Executive Assistant. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in various software and office equipment.

Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

General Office Duties: Answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.

Document Preparation: Drafting routine correspondence, managing files, and preparing meeting packets.

Event Coordination: Help organize logistics (catering, room reservations) for meetings, luncheons, and receptions hosted by the president.

Operational Oversight: Assist with training, scheduling, and supervising student workers who may support the front office. Ensure the reception area is tidy, professional, and properly represents the dignity of the office.

Communication and Liaison: Internal and External Communication: Serving as a point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

Disseminating Information: Communicating important information and updates to relevant parties.

Perform other duties as assigned by the manger.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree in business administration or related field.

6 months to 1 year of experience in an office environment.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

1 year of experience with a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

1 year of experience in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree.

2 years of experience in an office environment.

Proposed Salary

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
