    POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant - HS Registrar

    REPORTS TO: Principal

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220-day contract with benefits according to Siloam Springs School Board policies

    LOCATION: Siloam Springs High School

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma
    • Experience working in a professional office setting
    • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Google
    • Able to operate personal computers, laptop computer, peripheral computer equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of skill
    • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks at one time
    • Self-starter; able to work independently; organized
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills
    • Experience with eSchool, eFinance, and YellowFolder is desired
    • Knowledge, understanding of and patience interacting with students, parents and community members
    • Ability to work as a contributing and flexible team member
    • Bilingual preferred

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Inputting and generating of data/information for recordkeeping in multiple software systems
    • Enrolling/withdrawing students
    • Contacting parents for appointments; meeting with parents/students for enrollment
    • Sending for records; maintaining electronic files
    • Double checking data for accuracy and entering new data
    • Managing McKinney Vento, shot records, agriculture forms
    • Sending transfer grades to teachers
    • Making folders and test cards for new students to the district
    • Answering phones, receiving messages, and responding to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district
    • Preparing reports, compiling data, and distributing information to parties both inside and outside the district
    • Preparing correspondences and communications for families, staff, and students

    OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Maintaining confidentiality
    • Attending meetings and training as directed
    • Presenting and communicating in a professional manner
    • Working additional hours or overtime as directed
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
