Operations / Logistics Coordinator

About the Company

Our client is a leading national wholesale distributor of building and industrial products, serving a broad customer base of dealers, specialty distributors, national home centers, and industrial and manufactured housing customers across the country. With a large associate base and an extensive distribution footprint, they offer a wide range of structural and specialty building products through a value-driven, service-focused business model.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the company's vision, mission, and strategy; aligns individual performance goals with broader business unit objectives.
  • Coordinates with the warehouse supervisor on all inbound and outbound shipments and related customer service matters.
  • Works closely with administration and operations management to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Supports the branch sales team through real-time communication of route status throughout the day.
  • Reviews, manages, and builds truck routes for the routing team.
  • Partners with operations management to relay equipment, inventory, delivery, and customer service issues.
  • Assists with filing and scanning delivery tickets.
  • Assists with processing credit card payments and bank deposits.
  • Assists with creating order proofs and invoicing.
  • Assists with receiving inbound inventory and balancing AP reconciliation.
  • Assists with processing claims as applicable.
  • Supports clerical physical inventory and cycle count management for branch inventories.
Qualifications
  • Strong planning, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent phone skills with the ability to identify key issues, evaluate facts, and recommend appropriate action.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting transactions in a warehousing or distribution center environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in inventory control, material/stock handling and storage, and building products.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with process improvement and operating efficiency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools/technology.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP platform a plus.
  • 2-5 years of related experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position starts at $21.50 an hour. Insurance, and other benefit options that are offered include:
