Administrative Assistant – Building/Department

Full Time / 12 Month

The Administrative Assistant – Building provides clerical support to administrators by monitoring activities in the building or department, maintaining department records, and providing information recommendations and/or direction as requested by assigned administrator.

Pay

$18.79 - $23.58 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Hours

  • Weekdays, Monday through Friday
  • Shift is 8 hours per day, exact hours will vary by building/department
  • Year round position

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative functions to support the assigned director or principal; schedule meetings, screen calls and visitors, respond to inquiries and distribute messages, procure supplies, monitor budget and compile data for reporting purposes.
  • Participate in a variety of meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes, and provide support to attendees as requested.
  • Accurately maintain manual and electronic documents, collect payment and prepare deposits, and process documents. (time sheets, work orders, budget transfers, etc)
  • Coordinate projects, functions and program components under direction of others.
  • Work closely with other administrative staff by assisting as requested.

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience in an administrative role, preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
