Administrative Assistant – Job Description
About Us Autism Behavioral Center is dedicated to improving the independence and social awareness of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We also focus on supporting families by increasing knowledge, skills, and overall quality of life. Our services include one-to-one in-home therapy, social skills programs, and community-based support, all tailored to meet each individual's unique needs.
Position Summary The Administrative Assistant supports the Human Resources department while assisting with general office operations. This role is ideal for someone interested in building a career in HR, with responsibilities that include recruiting coordination, onboarding support, and employee engagement, along with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including document collection, tracking, and orientation scheduling
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR documentation
- Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
- Assist with tracking employee certifications, trainings, and compliance requirements
- Provide support with HR projects, audits, and process improvements
- Serve as a point of contact for general employee questions and administrative requests
- Assist with client intake scheduling and general office coordination as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and welcoming manner
- Provide additional administrative support as assigned by leadership
- Support recruiting efforts by coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with job postings
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) required
- Interest in Human Resources or administrative operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Previous administrative or HR experience is a plus, but not required
- Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in HR are encouraged to apply
