The City of Carson City Managers Office is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the Citys most visible, dynamic, and high-performing teams during a pivotal time in Carsons history as the City expands its regional leadership role and prepares to serve as a Venue City for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The City Managers Office serves as the central leadership and coordination hub for the organization. The Department works closely with the City Council, City Manager, executive leadership team, and all City departments to help advance City priorities, solve complex challenges, and deliver high-quality services to the community. The office is often responsible for leading special projects, developing new initiatives, coordinating across departments, and helping shape the future direction of the City.

The Administrative Analyst will provide direct support to the City Managers executive team, including two Deputy City Managers, and will work on a wide variety of projects and assignments that impact the organization as a whole. The position is highly collaborative and requires frequent interaction with departments across the City. Successful candidates must be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, managing sensitive assignments, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike.

Vacancy Information
There is one (1) current full-time (FLSA: Exempt) vacancy with a 4/10 schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break). Work hours and/or the work schedule may be adjusted based on the operational needs of the City. This position is fully on-site. Remote work is not available for this position.
Job Summary:
Under direction, performs varied and complex professional and confidential administrative work; plans and directs the functions of programs in support of a City Council authorized committee, commission, or board; conducts administrative studies and analysis of operations in order to solve problems of budget, organization, program, procedure, manpower utilization, capital projects, or equipment; acts as staff support to a higher level manager and authorized committees, commissions, or boards.
