The MSBT-MCT Program at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach GEBS 635E: State and Federal Cannabis Laws & Policies.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic educator with expertise in cannabis law, healthcare policy, public policy, regulatory affairs, or related disciplines to contribute to our interdisciplinary graduate education program.
Course Description
This course provides a detailed overview of the federal and state laws and policies governing medical and non-medical cannabis production, distribution, and use. Students will examine constitutional law shaping federal cannabis regulation, the United States Controlled Substances Act, state legalization frameworks, and emerging policy trends within the rapidly evolving cannabis industry.
A key objective of the course is to prepare students to identify, interpret, and evaluate federal and state cannabis laws and policies to maintain compliance in the evolving medical and non-medical cannabis landscape.

Responsibilities
Teach and facilitate GEBS 635E in an online, hybrid, or in-person format as assigned
Develop and deliver engaging course lectures, discussions, and learning activities
Provide instruction on:
Federal cannabis law and policy
State medical and adult-use cannabis regulations
Constitutional and administrative law principles
Regulatory compliance and risk management
Public health and healthcare policy implications
Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and discussions
Maintain timely communication and student engagement through the learning management system
Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to support curriculum quality and innovation

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
