adjunct position in Sport Management
Hiram College's Scarborough School of Business and Communication invites applicants for a part-time (9-month) instructor in Sport Management beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the undergraduate and graduate Sport Management programs and be a collaborative member of the department in terms of planning, assessing, and enhancing academic programming.
The successful applicant will have the educational experience in sport management necessary to teach both introductory and advanced courses, and will be expected to be an engaging educator who is able to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. The area of specialization is open and there is an opportunity to develop new courses aligned with expertise. The teaching load is 14-16 credit hours per year across our 12-week/8-week/3-week semester structure, which is typically 2 courses per semester. Applicants should provide evidence of a commitment to teaching within a liberal arts tradition.

Qualifications:
• A Ph.D. degree in sport management or related field from an accredited institution, or a Master's degree plus relevant experience. • Teaching experience, particularly in a liberal arts environment, and professional experience is strongly preferred. • ABD candidates demonstrating significant progress toward completion will be considered.
