Part-time faculty are professional, credentialed educators with the primary responsibility of providing quality learning experience for all Robeson Community College students. Part-time faculty plan, organize, teach, and assess courses and student learning in assigned courses. Maintaining effective intra-institution relationships with members of the Board of Trustees, the President's Senior Staff, Administrative Staff, faculty, and support personnel of the service area.
Providing appropriate liaison support with the North Carolina Community College System and other relational entities.
Promoting Robeson Community College with local, state, regional, and national citizenry.
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, two years of direct patient care as a registered nurse (demonstrating acute medical-surgical experience), and a current, unrestricted registered nurse license in North Carolina are required.
Applicants must be able to meet the physical and emotional demands in all aspects of nursing care, maintain current knowledge and competence in nursing practice, and have the ability to maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with students, staff, faculty, and representatives from various health care professions and settings.
Well-developed clinical, technical, computer, organization, time management, and communication skills are necessary.

Primary responsibilities occur during the days, Monday through Friday; however, applicants must be available to teach or attend activities on evenings, weekends, and at off-campus locations and to attend out-of-town meetings as needed. Two (2) years of full-time experience as a faculty member in a board-approved nursing program is recommended.
Meet the education requirements for Nurse Education as outlined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing within the first three years of employment, which includes preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation appropriate to the assignment. This preparation may be demonstrated by one of the following:
(1) completion of 45 contact hours of continuing education courses;
(2) completion of a certificate program in nursing education;
(3) nine semester hours of graduate course work;
(4) national certification in nursing education; or
(5) documentation of successful completion of structured, individualized development activities of at least 45 contact hours approved by the NC Board of Nursing
