The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Washington College seeks candidates for an adjunct lecturer position for the fall of 2026 to teach two sections of Spanish language classes (with potential for renewal in spring 2027). The successful candidate will have a record of effectiveness in and commitment to undergraduate language teaching.
The Department offers majors in Spanish, French, and German, and minors in Spanish, French, German, and Chinese. The department’s courses also support interdisciplinary programs across the college, including Latin American Studies, Gender Studies, and Black Studies.
