This Part-Time Adjunct Instructor position involves teaching courses within the Life & Work Skills Academy, supporting students with documented disabilities in developing essential life, work, academic, and social skills.
- Plan and deliver accessible, engaging lessons; create instructional materials aligned with program goals; adapt teaching to diverse needs.
- Support student independence, self-advocacy, communication, and problem-solving skills in an inclusive environment.
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and collaborate with program staff and community partners on internships and workforce activities.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and assist students with portfolios and community-based learning.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, experience working with individuals with disabilities, and strong communication and organization skills. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience, background in career counseling or transition services, familiarity with assistive technology, and internship coordination. The role requires physical activity, mental adaptability, and may involve travel and varied hours.
