Unit: School Of Business MBU Department: Finance Insurance and Real Estate
The Department of Finance Insurance and Real Estate FIRE in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty applicants on an ongoing basis. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
Duties & Responsibilities Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching classes in the Department of Finance Insurance and Real Estate.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Finance Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Undergraduate Class Teaching • Masters degree in Finance Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Graduate Class Teaching • 3 years of experience in finance and/or a related industry • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications • PhD in Finance Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins • Prior teaching experience
