Job Duties
Able to teach students the fundamentals of electrocardiography, including lead placement, cardiac anatomy, and equipment use. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, supervising hands-on training, and evaluating student competency to prepare them for certification. The ideal candidate will be organized, supportive, and committed to maintaining high instructional and clinical standards.
Licensing/Certification Requirements
Certified Electrographic Technician (CET)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the classroom and lab for extended periods.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds (e.g., moving equipment or supplies).
Sufficient manual dexterity to demonstrate proper EKG lead placement and operate medical equipment.
Visual and auditory ability to observe students' work, equipment readings, and respond to classroom situations.
Ability to assist students with hands-on skills, including positioning patients or adjusting equipment as needed.
