Job Title Adjunct Instructor - College Readiness/Basic Skills, Ashe Campus Job Description
The instructor will teach low-level adult basic education up to adult high school/ high school equivalency material, and/or English Language Acquisition at the Ashe Campus.
This position involves working directly with individuals with disabilities, providing support and fostering an inclusive environment that meets their unique needs and promotes their well-being and independence.

Work is primarily performed in an academic (an office or classroom) setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Essential functions: Positions require lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate, ability to sit and/or stand for long periods, ability to move between classrooms, buildings, and campuses, ability to express or exchange ideas, and good eye/hand dexterity. Exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous chemicals.
Medium work: Requires ability to operate a variety of types of office, instructional, and dental equipment. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally. Physical demands are in excess of sedentary work. Requires the ability to walk, stand, stoop, reach, crouch, knees, reach, or grasp for an extended period of time.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
Salary Grade Salary $28.49 for a Bachelor's degree, $29.90 for a Master's Degree, $31.27 for a Doctorate
