The Department of History at the College of Charleston invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of History for Fall 2026, with the possibility of renewal for Spring 2027.

Position Description

The successful candidate will teach 1 to 3 in-person sections of HIST 115 and/or HIST 116, the College's History General Education courses.

Minimum Qualifications

• M.A. in History or a closely related field
• Demonstrated teaching experience
• Strong commitment to student-centered pedagogy

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience at the college level
