Position Summary:
The Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University is seeking part-time Adjunct Instructors in Accounting to teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses on an as-needed basis. This is a temporary, part-time position. Courses may be delivered in-person or online depending on departmental needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality instruction in accounting, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
Develop and deliver course materials that align with the university's curriculum and learning objectives.
Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit grades in accordance with university policies.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success.
Adhere to academic integrity and ethical teaching practices, following university and department policies.

Qualifications:

A master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required. A CPA, CMA, or PhD is preferred.
Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred.
Professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, or related fields is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) for course delivery.
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations.

Additional Information:

Courses are primarily held at the Meinders School of Business on OCU's main campus. Some online teaching opportunities may be available.
Teaching assignments may include daytime and evening classes, depending on scheduling needs.
Adjunct faculty residing outside Oklahoma may teach remotely if they reside in one of the university-approved states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, or Virginia.
All university employees must complete a criminal background check and mandatory training.
