Adjunct Faculty - Principal Licensure [POOL] Recruitment #: F-PRL Review Date: Review as needed | Ongoing Department: Education & Leadership / Principal Licensure Pathway Salary Rate: Commensurate with education and experience in accordance with [WOUFT CBA ] Department/ Position Summary: The Division of Education and Leadership (DEL) in the College of Education at Western Oregon University invites qualified applications for the part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Principal Licensure Pathway (PLP) to teach academic classes for PLP candidates and/or supervise PLP candidates in K -12 clinical experiences. DEL is looking for applicants who are experienced building-level and/or district- level administrators interested in helping to prepare school principals by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively lead a school, including curri culum development, staff management, student discipline, budget oversight, community engagement, and legal compliance, all while aligning with state-specific requirements to obtain a principal license. Candidates will join a rapidly growing and dynamic Principal Licensure Pathway (PLP) dedicated to inclusive practices, social justice, and diversity. The PLP offers courses that prepare current educators for an Oregon K -12 Building Principal Licensure and enable candidates to simultaneously earn a master's degree in education. Our PLP also offers Teacher Leader courses for those interested in expanding understanding of Teacher Leadership but who might not be ready for the full licensure option. The PLP is part of the Division of Education & Leadership in the College of Education, nationally recognized for its leadership in evidence-based teacher preparation. Responsibilities: Teach graduate level classes in potentially in-person and/or online/hybrid, synchronous and/or asynchronous formats, with possible opportunities for summer, on-campus, and off- campus teaching Participate in curriculum review and development, including activities related to accreditation and pathway delivery Collaborate in the growth of the PLP Complete a required WOU online training course for effective online and hybrid instructional practices. Must be done prior to the start of teaching or simultaneously during the first term of teaching.
