Adjunct Faculty - Philosophy (Adjunct Lecturer/Instructor)

Schedule: Fall 2026 - TTH 9:30-10:45, TTH 1:00-2:15, TTH 2:30-3:45

Rivier University invites on-going applications for Philosophy adjunct faculty members on a semester-to-semester basis. We are currently seeking instructors who can teach undergraduate day philosophy courses on a variety of topics, such as theories of ethics and contemporary moral issues. The instructors must be available to teach on campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at least one section in the undergraduate program with the potential for future courses in the candidate's field.
  • Provide instruction with interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students of all levels and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, both in the division and throughout the University.

Qualifications

  • An earned master's degree in philosophy, ethics or a related field.
  • Prior college teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both in the department and throughout the University community.
  • Support the Mission of the University.
