Adjunct Faculty Opportunities in Teacher Education - Fall 2026

The Department of Education and Inclusive Services (EIS) at Minot State University invites applications from qualified educators to teach undergraduate teacher education courses during the Fall 2026 semester.

We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach one or more undergraduate teacher education courses on the Minot State University campus in Minot, North Dakota.

Possible Teaching Assignments

Faculty may teach one or more of the following courses:

• Elementary Mathematics Methods (3 credits)
• Managing the Learning Environment (2 credits)
• Teaching Diverse Learners (2 credits)
• Curriculum, Planning and Assessment I (2 credits)
• K-12 Student Teaching Seminar (2 credits)

Courses are taught in person on the Minot State University campus. Applicants should reside in or be willing to commute to the Minot area as these are not remote teaching positions.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A masters degree in teacher education or a closely related field
• A minimum of three years of successful K-12 teaching experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and teacher preparation

Preferred Qualifications

• Elementary classroom teaching experience with a strong background in mathematics for applicants interested in teaching Elementary Mathematics Methods.
• Experience mentoring teacher candidates, supervising field experiences, or teaching at the university level is preferred.

Appointment

• Application Deadline: August 7, 2026
• Classes Begin: August 19, 2026
