Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty member teaches Humanities courses.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes
Position Overview
- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
- Masters degree in Humanities: or Master's degree with a total of 18 graduate semester hours in at least three of the Humanities disciplines (Art, Dance, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, or Humanities)
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
