Position Overview
This Adjunct Faculty member provides instruction primarily in a healthcare course (HSC 0003) and other related areas given appropriate credentials. The instructor is primarily responsible for general healthcare related content areas. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery), and Blended Classes.

What you need to succeed
• Bachelors degree in Health Science, Nursing, or Allied Health discipline (e.g., Dental Hygiene; Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Physician Assistant; Dietetics; Medical Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy; Radiography; Respiratory Therapy; Speech Language Pathology); or Associates degree in a Healthcare field (e.g., Dental Hygiene; Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Dietetics; Emergency Medical Services; Medical Assisting; Medical Technology; Occupational Therapy; Physician Assistant; Physical Therapy; Radiography; Respiratory Therapy; Speech Language Pathology); • Valid licensure or certificate in the above-referenced Allied Health or Healthcare fields; • 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field • All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions • Possess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal) • Possess basic computer skills • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening, and/or weekend assignments • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites, and off-campus offering sites • Performs other duties as assigned
