Adjunct Faculty, Economics

The Department of Social Sciences invites applicants for a part-time Economics adjunct teaching position.  These are semester-to-semester positions primarily teaching introductory courses, both in-person and online.

The Social Sciences department prepares students for careers in multiple areas that focus on human interaction.  Majors, Minors, and GEP courses in the Social Sciences enable students to better understand their place in the world by connecting personal experience to past and present features of society. The Social Sciences department includes the Sociology, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, and History programs. The Department values open ended inquiry, critical dialogue, and a commitment to respect for diversity in all aspects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in the subject or a closely related area
• A willingness to engage students thoughtfully and critically in the subject area
• Ability to communicate clearly with students
• Basic knowledge of instructional software and the ability to teach in-person and online courses
• Ability to work closely and effectively with diverse populations in all aspects

Employment with the University is dependent upon BOT budget approval for the current fiscal year.  A background check is required prior to employment.
