Position Summary The College of Business commonly but not always has the need for part-time instructors. We invite applications to be submitted for these potential openings. Applications are continually invited for part-time instructors in The College of Business.

The College of Business encompasses programs in:

  • Accounting

  • Hospitality and Tourism

  • Entrepreneurship

Minimum qualifications for teaching in the academic programs are a doctors or masters degree in the teaching discipline or a masters degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline, a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. A terminal degree is preferred. Significant business experience may substitute for academic credentials in some cases.

These appointments are on a course-by-course basis. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and discipline. These postings are continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of WCU at any time, you will be contacted to discuss proposed teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.
