Position Overview
Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery), and Blended Classes.
What you will be doing
• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections • Evaluates and advises students • Participates in departmental and College affairs • Recruits students • Serves on committees • Develops Curricula • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
• Masters degree in one of the Biological Sciences • A minimum of 9 graduate semester hours related to specific course(s) taught • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution • Must possess excellent communication skills • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
