Job Summary

Adjunct nursing clinical instructors are responsible for facilitating clinical learning experiences in a variety of area healthcare facilities for no more than 10 nursing students at a time. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the nursing program and the healthcare facility.

Pay rates:

ADN - $26.75 per hour

BSN - $32.10 per hour

MSN - $42.80 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide hands on clinical instruction and supervision of nursing students while in the clinical setting
  • Facilitate valuable learning experiences including use of the nursing process and clinical judgement
  • Assess and evaluate student learning providing feedback in a timely manner promoting student success
  • Facilitate development of clinical reasoning skills, professional identity, and use of effective communication skills while providing safe patient care in the clinical setting
  • Complete clinical evaluation of student performance weekly, at mid-term and final end of term.
  • Participate in BCTC clinical instructor orientation and course specific faculty meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing with at least two years of clinical practice experience
  • Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with at least two years of clinical practice experience
