Position: Adjunct Clinical Instructor (Undergraduate Program) Department: College of Nursing and Health

Madonna University is a Franciscan, Catholic co-educational liberal arts university located in Livonia, Michigan. The growing student body of 4,400 is an exciting and diverse mix of traditional and non-traditional commuter students. At Madonna University, teaching is of primary importance, and faculty members actively participate in University governance and academic affairs.

The Nursing department of the College of Nursing and Health offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees, and post-graduate certificates. The undergraduate program includes pre-licensure and degree completion students. The graduate program offers a number of specialized options for advanced practice nursing roles and nursing administration roles, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree focused on leadership within Aggregate/Systems/Organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compliance with all ACE-MAPP requirements • Supervise students in the application of nursing theory to the clinical setting • Conduct pre-clinical conferences to determine student level preparedness, ensuring safety, effective clinical experience, review care maps/worksheets and other assignments • Grades all written assignments, observes and records students' clinical behaviors • Be familiar with the clinical agency's procedures by attending orientation sessions prior to the start of a course if needed • Attend online or departmental course meetings on an as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master's or higher degree in Nursing preferred, BSN required
  2. Licensed as registered nurse in Michigan or eligible for same
  3. Strong interpersonal relationship and organizational skills required
