Mission

As an ADAS Validation Engineer, you will be at the forefront of the autonomous revolution, executing and supporting validation testing for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving features. This role is highly hands-on, requiring a mix of vehicle-based testing, sophisticated data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure our safety features meet the highest standards through rigorous physical and virtual correlation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Execution: Perform and support comprehensive ADAS/Automated Driving test procedures in diverse environments.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report high-quality test data to drive engineering decisions.
  • Systems Integration: Coordinate validation activities and ensure all vehicles maintain the correct hardware and software revision levels.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot complex in-vehicle test equipment, including dGPS, driving robots, and CAN tools.
  • Scenario Development: Design and create both physical and virtual test scenarios to ensure full feature coverage.
  • Program Coordination: Review and refine test plans for specific vehicle programs, collaborating with global teams to standardize tools and processes.
  • Correlation: Execute physical vehicle testing specifically to correlate and validate virtual simulation results.

Profile

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Protocol Knowledge: Strong familiarity with ADAS operation and digital communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Technical Tooling: Direct experience using CAN logging tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer).
  • Testing Background: Proven experience in vehicle testing within a hands-on environment.
  • Logistics: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work across day and night shifts as testing schedules require.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of professional experience or focused academic research in automotive engineering.
  • Advanced Networking: Proficiency in high-speed vehicle networking (CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet).
  • Sensor Integration: Experience working with ground truth sensors, camera systems, and dGPS.
  • Quality Standards: Solid understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety standards and industry-standard documentation (FMEA, DVP&R, Lessons Learned).
